Healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, social workers, patient navigators, physical and/or occupational therapists, etc.) can be a vital resource for employees trying to balance cancer treatment and work. However, employees are under no obligation to
share specific details about their diagnosis or treatment with you or anyone at work. So, if you do introduce an employee to the idea of engaging their healthcare team, be sure to remind them that they have the right to keep their situation private and confidential.[1]
